My career began in 2002, and I quickly found a passion for helping clients navigate the mortgage landscape. This led me to found and operate Finance Life, a successful mortgage broking business that grew to be one of South Australia’s largest. 

My focus has always been on more than just transactions; it's about mentoring my team and fostering a supportive environment where we all grow and succeed.

In 2023, I expanded my vision by opening Harcourts Matthews, a prominent real estate franchise. This allowed me to offer a truly holistic approach, combining expert financial guidance with a deep understanding of the property market. 

I'm committed to leading by example, driving growth, and ensuring that every client receives the highest level of service.

A Career Built on Trust and Experience

Over the past two decades, I’ve funded more than $1.5 billion in mortgages across Australia. When I started, a house cost around $100,000, and I’ve seen firsthand how much has changed. I've been a part of the Choice Aggregation Services (now LMG) since 2008 and have been recognised as a Platinum Achiever for almost that some time, which highlights not only the volume of my work but its quality as well.

My experience isn’t just measured in dollars and awards. I’ve lived through the cycles of the property market, government interventions, and the evolving landscape of borrowing. Having been a broker for over 23 years and an owner of a successful real estate business (Harcourts Matthews), I consider myself an expert in all things property. I’ve been a part of more than 35 property transactions personally, from buying my first home in 2001 to navigating investment properties, subdivisions, and commercial ventures. This hands-on experience gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities my clients may face.

In 2008, I started my own business, Finance Life, and grew it successfully. A few years later, I purchased Bernie Lewis Home Loans, only to sell it in 2025 to focus on what truly matters: my family and my clients. This decision marked a shift away from a "growth at all costs" mindset and toward a more focused, personal approach.
